Process Safety Training

POSTED: May 29 2014

In the wake of a number of catastrophic incidents internationally, greater focus is being placed on process safety as part of a holistic occupational health and safety program. To meet this increased interest, Competency Training are developing process safety training courses for the Australian market.

Process Safety is focused on preventing catastrophic accidents, particularly explosions, fires, and toxic releases, associated with the use of chemicals and petroleum products. This training is targeted at engineers and operators or management staff, and will provide an overview of process safety principles and their application across the life cycle of a process plant. The material will cover topics including legal requirements, hazard identification, risk assessment and ALARP and operations and human factors.

With the backing of our parent company LogiCamms’ large, experienced process engineering team, Competency Training is developing an industry-leading process safety offering, and are now taking expressions of interest for the first delivery.
