This course is designed to provide you with a knowledge of Hazardous Areas, how these areas are classified, the equipment used within them and how to safely work in an area.  The course is intended for electrical and non-electrical personnel who may work in, or around Hazardous Areas.

Our e-Learning courses are self-paced where students can enrol online at any time, completing the program at their convenience.

Who should attend?

This Hazardous Area Awareness course is suitable for anyone working in a hazardous area, including:

  1. Cleaning staff
  2. HSE staff
  3. Trade personnel
  4. Management

A trade qualification is not necessary.

Course Pathway Options

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IN HAZARDOUS AREAS (EEHA I&M)

Electrical workers who are involved in the installation, maintenance, testing and inspection of electrical equipment in hazardous areas should enrol in the Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas course.

HAZARDOUS AREAS COMPLIANCE

Supervisors, HSE Personnel and Managers of sites that contain one or more hazardous areas may choose to enrol in the Hazardous Areas Compliance course to gain a deeper understanding of the legal requirements and how to effectively ensure that those requirements are being met.

The Manage Compliance of Hazardous Areas course provides training to meet the competency requirements of AS/NZS 4761 Competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA).
