Overview

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role, who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

5 Days plus a self-paced online component

Delivered at one of Competency Training’s national training centres, or at a client’s facility.

Payment Options include:
  • Bank Transfer/Direct Debit, or Credit Card (up to $1,500) or;
  • A valid Purchase Order for the total Course Fee amount (with the full amount listed).
Competency Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The remaining balance of the course fee is to be paid in the following instalment upon the course commencement date as stipulated within this course booking confirmation and your invoice.

Course Outline

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety course is intended for people employed in a work health and safety environment who are seeking to upgrade their qualifications. They may provide leadership and guidance to others and may have limited responsibility for the output, safety, and well-being of others.

The course material for the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety material covers a broad range of health and safety functions and responsibilities in the workplace, including:

  • Identifying hazards
  • Assessing WHS risks
  • Implementing strategies to control WHS risks
  • Evaluating an organisation’s performance.

The course provides participants with practical knowledge and skills to enable the provision of valid and timely WHS advice and assist with improving safety in the workplace.

Students undertaking this qualification are provided options to allow them to complete their training in a format and timeframe most appropriate to their previous experience and qualifications.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
