Overview : Papuan Oil Search Limited were modifying and expanding parts of existing plant and infrastructure within a project to provide feed gas to the ExxonMobil PNG LNG project near Port Moresby. The company required a successful, lower risk start-up and maintenance program involving an up-skilled workforce capable of meeting new operational challenges during a period of rapid change.
Solutions: LogiCamms’ Competency Assurance and Training team had the right solutions, and was engaged to deliver a scope including:
- AGRP Commissioning Project – Design and development of operator and maintenance training modules for the new and modified equipment;
- Hazardous Area Electrical Training – In-field, competency-based training in electrical equipment for hazardous areas provided for PNG nationals throughout 2010 and 2011, with further courses to be conducted in 2012;
- Hazardous Area Awareness Flexible Delivery – E-Learning package providing an overview of the dangers presented by explosive atmospheres and the basics of the requirements to work safely in them; and
- HSE Training Development – Design and development of various Health, Safety and Environmental training packages, including e-learning packages focussing on risk assessment tools and methodologies as part of Oil Search’s interface with the ExxonMobil PNG LNG Project.
