Ian is our Perth-based trainer with nearly 30 years in field experience around the world. As Competency Training’s leading man on the ground in Western Australia, Ian delivers High Voltage switching and hazardous area courses to a variety of customers and industries.
Ian developed his high level of electrical, electronic systems and instrumentation skills in the UK Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy, following which he transitioned to roles in engineering, maintenance and supervisory capacities for FPSOs, marine vessels, subsea and offshore oil and gas facilities.
Ian is a self-described “good egg, natty dresser and international man of mystery”! His diverse experience, enthusiasm and professionalism make him a highly valued member of the Competency Training team.
