Overview

EEHA Course Perth offers participants the opportunity to attain nationally recognised competencies that meet the requirements of AS/NZS 4761 Competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA).

EEHA Course Perth provides a licensed electrical worker with the specialised skills and knowledge required to perform the installation, maintenance, testing and inspection of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres.

Training is delivered face-to-face at our training facilities or can be arranged at an EEHA Perth facility.

$2,400 GST Exempt
Payment: Please note that until payment is received, your booking is not fully secured.

Payment Options include:
  • Bank Transfer/Direct Deposit, or Credit Card (up to $1,500) or;
  • A valid Purchase Order for the total Course Fee amount (with the full amount listed).

Competency Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The remaining balance of the course fee is to be paid in the following installment upon the course commencement date as stipulated in this course booking confirmation and your invoice.

Practical activities are conducted on training boards that have been developed in conjunction with NHP Electrical Engineering Products, a leading supplier of electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres.

Prerequisites

Some of the Units of Competency associated with the EEHA Course Perth have pre-requisites that need to be met before issuance of those Units of Competency

These pre-requisites can be met by individuals providing:

  • An appropriate Cert III in Electrotechnology; or
  • An appropriate Australian/New Zealand Electrical License; or
  • Providing a Test-amur listing the required pre-requisite Units of Competency

Units that require pre-requisite evidence are:

  • *UEEHA0038     Conduct visual and close inspection of electrical installations for hazardous areas
  • *UEEHA0020     Conduct detailed inspection of electrical installations for hazardous areas
  • *UEEHA0022     Determine the explosion-protection requirements to meet a specified classified hazardous area
  • *UEEHA0025     Install explosion-protected equipment and associated apparatus and wiring systems
  • *UEEHA0026     Maintain equipment associated with hazardous areas

If a student does not meet the pre-requisites as listed above, they will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units:

  • UEEHA0004 Enter a classified hazardous area to undertake work related to electrical equipment
  • UEECD0011 Comply with scheduled and preventative maintenance. program processes
  • UEECO0002 Maintain documentation.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for electrical workers, technicians and engineers involved with installing and maintaining electrical equipment in hazardous areas.

Course Pathway Options

HAZARDOUS AREAS CLASSIFICATION AND DESIGN

This course provides a Licensed Electrician with the necessary prerequisites to attend Competency Training’s Hazardous Areas Classification and Design Course and attain all units of competency.

UEE42622 CERTIFICATE IV IN HAZARDOUS AREAS – ELECTRICAL

On successful attainment of the course units, participants who hold a UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or unrestricted electrical licence) can enrol in the UEE42622 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical with Competency Training, and complete the remaining four core units by Recognition of Prior Learning. Participants are provided with a Recognition of Prior Learning Kit, to be completed in their own time, with the assistance of our knowledgeable trainers and assessors.
