The Basic PLC provides a skillset to troubleshoot / setup a tcp/ip ethernet network for PLC’s connected to a lan/wan and present methods of incorporating real time clock functions, counters and converting ladder into function blocks. Other topics covered and discussed include i/o, adc & dac, comparators, counters, p&id functionality, ip addresses and sub-nets.

Competency Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500 per student. The remaining balance of the course fee is to be paid upon the course commencement date as stipulated within this course booking confirmation and your invoice.

The Basic PLC provides a pathway for theoretical and practical skills and knowledge to be able to select, install, commission, fault find and maintain equipment and systems for the control of plant, machines and processes utilising PLC and Networks.
1. On completion, the students will understand basic networks, tcp/ip addressing and subnet/masks, wi-fi setup, plc setup, programming basics for plc, ladder and function block creation.
2. The classroom component of the course consists of three days of training. The course covers the following topics:
