Competency Training is excited to announce the arrival of a new High Voltage Switching training centre in Melbourne, Victoria.
This new facility in Sunshine West, like the one recently opened in Perth, allows trainees to learn the techniques and procedures for safe isolation and access to HV electrical parts using our HV equipment in a controlled environment. This avoids having to arrange access to installed equipment at client sites for practical training and assessment sessions, which often requires an interruption to normal HV supply to part or all of the plant.
The HV courses are open to the public – there are no minimum numbers and individuals and private contractors are welcome. The first Course is scheduled from 18th – 22nd July, 2011. The Melbourne facility is the third new HV switching facility for Competency Training in the last 6 months, following the opening of the new centre in Brisbane in November 2010, and the opening of our new Centre in Malaga, Perth in March. Feedback from recent attendees to the Perth and Brisbane facilities has been overwhelmingly positive, with the knowledge and experience of our HV trainers, coupled with the practical, hands-on nature of the training proving a winning combination.
