High Voltage Switching Courses

POSTED: November 3 2014

We have been working hard recently to update our nationally recognised high voltage switching courses.

Our 5 day course has been updated in line with industry procedures and workplace practices to allow students to experience both a ‘control room’ scenario as well as hands-on switching in the field. As part of their theoretical component, students will utilise a customised electronic and interactive network diagram to simulate the isolation and restoration of high voltage equipment.

The practical phase involves using a range of functioning and interconnected high voltage pieces of equipment, that provide real switching in a simulated and safe environment. The interconnected extra low voltage system, between the switchgear, provides active test points and accurate responses from the equipment, enabling the students to effectively carry out numerous switching programs and scenarios set by our instructors.

We now offer our industry-leading HVSO training from four state-of-the-art practical facilities in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide, and are currently taking expressions of interest for Gladstone. As always, we can also bring our training to you and deliver onsite on your own equipment. For more information or to book now, please contact us.

I have left the course feeling a lot more confident in my abilities to complete my EEHA responsibilities at site. There was a lot of content but our trainer delivered it in a way that was not overwhelming.

There is more than enough in the course content to make sure we walk away qualified.
