Funded Training Available Under the Career Boost – General Training Program

Competency Training is proud to offer funded places under the Career Boost – General Training Program, administered by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training.

Eligible students can complete the UEE40420 – Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation at a significantly reduced cost:

  • $560 for non-concession students
  • $290 for concession students

This funding supports upskilling for qualified electricians, helping you take the next step in your career in electrical instrumentation.

Are you eligible?

To access funding under the Career Boost – General Training Program for this qualification, you must:

  • Be aged 15 years or older and no longer at school
  • Permanently reside in Queensland
  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrant), New Zealand citizen, or a temporary resident with the right visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
  • Hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent electrical trade qualification)
  • Not be enrolled in another qualification funded by the Department, including one that is on hold or deferred
  • You may already hold a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification, provided it was not funded through the Higher Level Skills program or SAS Programs for General Training

Concession Eligibility

You may be eligible for a concession rate if you:

  • Hold a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card (or are listed as a dependent/partner on one)
  • Are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • Have a disability
  • Are an adult prisoner
