Electrical Worker Competency Refresher Training course covering Electricity Licensing Regulations, Electricity Act Regulations, Code of Practice for Safe Electrical Work, AS3000, AS3017 and AS3760 and includes practical testing and fault finding on test boards with a number of faults set up. This Electrical Worker Competency Refresher course also includes use of test instruments such as a multi meter, megger, portable appliance tester, RCD tester and fault loop impedance tester.

The aims of this course include the following:

• To provide information on Australian Electrical Standards and Western Australian Regulations which apply to heavy industry for the correct testing and fault finding methods on an electrical installation.
• To provide the means for licensed electrical personnel to demonstrate and document their ability to safely inspect, test and locate faults in electrical installations.
• To provide an understanding of the correct method of selecting and using appropriate test instruments in accordance with manufacturers instructions and Australian Standards recommendations.

The course is recommended as a refresher every 2 years and will be upgraded on an ongoing basis to keep up with changes to legislation and Australian Standards. The course is assessed for both theory and practical elements and a certificate is provided on successful completion.
